So it's about time I updated this thing. I almost forgot I had it!
Anyway, I got a job at Habasit Belting back in January, also where my
dearest daddy has been working for almost twenty years. We work in
different departments though. I work in the "modular" department. And I
basically make belts. No, not belts like the ones you wear on your
jeans, but conveyor and power transmission belts. It's hard to explain,
but it's a real easy job. I put plastic-looking pieces together
basically. I work the "weekend" shift, which is Friday through Monday,
5:00 am - 4:30 pm (5:00 am - 12:00 pm on Sundays). It's hard waking up
at 4 in the morning and working eleven hours, but hey, I get three days
off, while the other shifts get two, and I get paid
really
well. At one point I was working three jobs; Quality Foods, Zaxby's,
and Habasit. I did that for three weeks, before finally quitting the
other two, so I can finally have a day off. No day off for three weeks
. . . yea it's pretty hard.
Well on my off days now I spend them with Josh. I stay over his house
Monday through Thursday night. I love the time I spend with him! He's
the greatest boyfriend ever and my best friend. I love him LOTS! Our
eight month anniversary is on Tuesday. We've made it through some tough
times, and we're still together.
I'm saving up to buy a car now. My parents want me to save up $4,000
before we go look. And my parents are holding $6,000 of my saved up
money from years ago. So then I'm gonna buy a pretty new or brand new
car and make my own monthly payments on it. I'm pretty excited! I can't
wait to have my OWN car again. It's gonna be great.
I really miss all my old friends. I don't even get to see anyone
besides Josh nowadays. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the guy to
death, but I miss having girl friends and guy friends. As soon as I get
my new car, I already plan on making a trip to UGA for a day or two. I
really miss some people from there!
I've applied to a few colleges lately. I just don't know what I want to
major in though. I was thinking nursing, but then accounting, and then
business. Ugh, so many choices! I'm almost kinda excited about going
back to school. I kinda . . . miss it!
Oh yea, did you know I turned 19?! My last year as a teenager . . . how sad.
Anyway, it's almost time for bed. I'll try to update more!
